Sherando Park is a 330-acre park that features an abundance of natural forests and wooded walking trails. Other recreation opportunities include fields for baseball and soccer, an 18-hole disc golf course, playgrounds, an outdoor pool, multiple picnic shelters, and a 5-acre fishing lake.
Hours: Open daily from 8am-dark; free admission. Virginia state fishing regulations apply.
Directions:
Take I-81 south 6 miles from Winchester to Exit 307 (Stephens City). Follow Route 277 east 1.8 miles to the park. Turn right (south) for trails and lake.
