The park offers playgrounds, recreation programs, walking and biking trails, dog park, disc golf course, miniature golf course, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, birdwatching and fishing at Wilkins Lake, pavilions and picnic areas, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe pits, gymnasium, recreation center, arboretum, POW/MIA Memorial, and Korean War Memorial.
Visitors can easily spot birds in the open areas of the park. An occasional great blue heron and migrating waterfowl such as buffleheads, scaups, and red-headed ducks visit Wilkins Lake, which is located at the park’s south end.
The Winchester Green Circle walking-bicycling path connects Jim Barnett with Shawnee Springs Preserve and downtown Winchester to the east, and with Shenandoah University to the south.

Directions:
From Exit 313 off of I-81, follow Route 50 West toward Winchester. In 0.3 miles, turn right (north) onto Pleasant Valley Road. The park entrance is located 0.2 miles ahead on the right.
