A Message from the Chairman

Shenandoah University’s board of trustees believes in the mission and vision of this institution. As a diverse group, we steward a strong, purposeful and compassionate university that educates and inspires individuals to make a real difference in their communities, our nation and the world.

Shenandoah is, at its heart, about relationships, and our trustees are actively engaged in the life of the university. Our students are extraordinary, and we delight in getting to know them, encouraging and helping them connect with mentors, or talking to them about their goals and challenges.

Shenandoah’s reputation and reach continue to expand far beyond this region, and the composition of our board reflects that increased span of influence. We continuously build on the university’s strengths in order to meet the ever-changing needs of our students and the long-term goals of the institution. Every decision we make as a board is based on advancing Shenandoah’s mission and remaining consistent with its core values.

Our vibrant university makes this community a better place. Shenandoah increases intellectual vitality and offers lifelong learning, collegiate athletics and cultural enrichment. We also prepare skilled professionals who shape our region’s economic future.
