Attendance is mandatory for two on-campus sessions.
Please review the schedule for specific arrival and departure dates and times.
No early dismissals will be permitted. Please make your travel arrangements accordingly.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all on-campus sessions. Please make your dinner plans accordingly as dinner is not provided.
Dress is casual. You will be working, so please dress comfortably.
Fall 2018 Cohort: August 10, 2018
This first on-campus orientation session is devoted to introducing you to online learning and how NTDP students may utilize various strategies and methods to achieve success as an online learner. Students will be required to complete online assignments prior to attending the on-campus orientation to become comfortable with the technology. Students will need to use a personal laptop that allows software downloads.
Topics discussed include the non-traditional learning management system, resources, passwords, security, software, video conferencing, and assessments. Once the on-campus orientation session is completed, students will be prepared to start the first NTDP course.
Term 6: June (usually 3rd Thursday and Friday)
This second on-campus session is devoted to teaching elements of patient and physical assessment.
Students will need to bring the following:
- stethoscope (This item can be borrowed and does not need to be purchased).
- laptop
- wrist watch (with seconds)
