Come Alive is an experiment in bringing choreographer Charlie Maybee’s tap dance and modern dance vocabulary closer together. With phrase work and solos inspired by the philosophical underpinnings of Object-Oriented Ontology, dancers tell stories about collected personal objects that have sentimental value through movement that is derived from the objects physical state, function and aesthetic.
