Conservatory Professional Highlights:
Daniel Shores is a Grammy Award recipient and five-time Grammy nominee (two for Best Surround Sound Album, two for Best Engineered Classical Album, one for Best Immersive Audio Album). He has recorded, mixed and mastered albums accounting for 21 Grammy nominations and 2 Latin Grammy wins. Shores served as the head of the Sono Luminus record label from 2006 to 2014 and continues to serve as the label’s head engineer. In addition to Sono Luminus, Shores has recorded albums for Bridge Records, Naxos, RCA Red Seal, Koch, Hannsler Classics, Sony, Avie, and the Steinway & Sons record label, accounting for well over 250 albums.
Shores is a member of the Audio Engineering Society and NARAS. He is one of the founding members of the Pure Audio Blu-Ray group.

Personal Highlights:
Daniel Shores was honored in 2012 with the Shenandoah University Alumni of Excellence award. Shores is also a musician himself, starting life as a classical /jazz pianist and percussionist, then moving to jazz and rock bass, guitar, mandolin and various other odds and ends.
