Shenandoah Veterans & Supporters (SVS) is hosting a weeklong open house for the Veterans, Military and Families Center (VMFC) from noon-2 p.m. in Hazel Pruitt Armory, Room 201, as part of Salute to Veterans week. Visitors can meet student veterans over refreshments. On Nov. 11, the Center for Civic Engagement will hold a Stars For Our Troops project, gifting stars from retired U.S. flags to veterans. Students are also invited to help create a mural of 288 tile paintings honoring veterans, which will be displayed in the VMFC. For questions, contact SVS at svs@su.edu.
