On Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9-11:30 a.m., the Center for Civic Engagement is gathering a group of volunteers to go apple gleaning at Marker Miller Orchards Farm Market (3035 Cedar Creek Grade Winchester, Virginia 22602). Apple gleaning consists of picking apples that are in good quality and giving them away to those in need. The apples that are collected will be bagged and donated to local Winchester food banks. All students are welcome to join in on a fun and easy opportunity to help the community. Register today if you would like to participate or are in need of transportation for this event.
