A Glimpse into Black History & Musical Context
February 14 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
As part of Douglass Day, join Conservatory students Nicole Stroh and Susanna O’Herron as they perform works by Black composers spanning from 1895 to the present day in Goodson Chapel-Recital Hall on Feb, 14. From classical to rhythm and jazz, Stroh and O’Herron provide contextual information about the composers and various cultures around the world, challenging attendees to investigate their own interests, question what they know to be familiar, and grow an appreciation for more roots in music.
