We are down to our final hours in Cambodia. In just a little while we will board a plane headed home. As I reflect on the past week I’ve learned to appreciate the beautiful chaos that is Cambodia. I’ve become more confident in my abilities to navigate unfamiliar streets, ask questions when I’m not sure, and celebrate small victories such as taking a tuk tuk for the first time. I am continually amazed at how far this country has come just 30 years after they lost an entire generation. There is still so much work to do in Cambodia but I have hope and believe in the resiliency of human nature. I have grown to love the people, the natural beauty, and the spirit of Cambodia and hope to one day return.
