The Cool Spring property boasts bodies of water large and small. It sits along the Shenandoah River, one of the few rivers in the world (another is the Nile) that flows south to north. At the river’s edge, you can reach out and feel the water’s current with your fingers and toes. You can also learn about the life of a pond — what makes it a pond, what grows there (cattails), and its wildlife (insects, frogs, fish, muskrats, red-winged blackbirds, ducks, and more.)
Public river access is not available from the River Campus at Cool Spring
