Brass of Peace
The Brass of Peace Program is recognized throughout the country as a training ground for tomorrow’s fine musicians and is a factor in helping young musicians enter the college or university of their choice. Most recent graduates of Brass of Peace are attending Northwestern University, Indiana University, the Eastman School of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music. Many graduates of Brass of Peace have gone on to become employed in the nation’s symphony orchestras, brass ensembles, our great service bands and ensembles throughout the world.

Featured Guest Artist
Peter Steiner
Italian trombonist Peter Steiner’s playing has been described as “beautifully controlled with a vocal sound” and he is recognized around the world as “a new trombone star within his generation” who “plays with total control.” In 2019 he was honored as a Prize Winner at the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition in Russia.

Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center will bring brass instruments for students to try/buy as well as offer on-site light dent repair work.
Greg Black Mouthpieces
Greg Black Mouthpieces has only one mission in mind, become the finest makers of brass mouthpieces in the world.
Little Dog Band Repair
Little Dog Band Repair will be on site all day with services available to students.
Vendors will be available all day during this year’s event in Armstrong Hall, Room 39.
Financial Assistance
The $30 registration fee includes lunch, a t-shirt and admission to the full day of events.
Shenandoah Conservatory believes the arts are for everyone. Like all nonprofit arts organizations and higher education institutions, we strive to maintain our stewardship of limited resources and balanced budgets while intentionally removing barriers to participation and belonging. Full and partial scholarships are available to those who require financial assistance.
