Darian Angel ’26 (Bachelor of Music in Performance) won the Southern Division level of the Music Teachers National Association’s (MTNA) Young Artists Performance Competition in the woodwind category. Representing the state of Virginia, Angel was selected as the winner from entrants representing Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. He will compete in the national finals of the competition in March in Atlanta, Georgia. He won the Virginia state level of the competition back in October.
