“A Prominent Place: Winchester’s 275 Years in 50 Artifacts,” an anthology of 50 essays co-edited by Jonathan A. Noyalas, M.A. ’01, director of the McCormick Civil War Institute, was released at a special event, with a panel discussion featuring selected essay authors, in Henkel Hall, Hester Auditorium, in October.
The book, a joint project between Shenandoah University and the Winchester-Frederick County Historical Society to commemorate Winchester’s 275th anniversary, features essays authored by Shenandoah history majors, faculty and alumni.
