Use Data and Mathematics In The Real World
Data science and mathematics are active and growing fields, with a needed workforce to match. With a data science and applied mathematics degree, you can leverage technology and work with data and mathematics to solve complex problems. You’ll learn the essentials of computer science and apply these skills in a wide variety of hands-on situations, including ones focused on solving problems in the community and region.
I love math and solving problems in mathematical equations. I also like to collect data and being able to manipulate it. In an environmental science project, I was able to incorporate both data analysis as well as computer code into the cause of ocean temperature change. If you like math or solving problems or mysteries, you would like this major.”
