My favorite spots around SU: The library. As a student, I spent so many hours there studying away. You can find the nicest, quietest spots to really hunker down!

What makes SU special to me: I transferred to SU not really having any idea what I wanted to do, I just wanted to be back in school. Thanks to the many mentors and opportunities I had here, I was able to form that direction and pursue new career goals.

My advice: Make sure you get a good feel of the university. This is going to be the place you will call home for at least a few years, so make sure that it feels right to you. On tours, ask the questions you want to ask-there is no wrong question! If you’re an incoming student, get involved! You would be doing a disservice to your college experience if you only come to campus for class and that’s it, (which I used to do when I first transferred). There are so many amazing opportunities and people to meet on the campus. Once I started joining clubs and getting involved my experience became so much more fun!
