Who We Are-The Office of Residence Life

The Office of Residence Life is housed with professional and paraprofessional staff. During the academic year when the university is open, there is always a professional and paraprofessional on duty or on call to assist you.

Resident directors (RDs) and community directors (CDs) are live in or live on staff members who are responsible for the overall management of a residence hall or residential area. They are responsible for supervising the resident assistants who are assigned to that building, and are members of the Residence Life Central Staff.

Resident Assistants (RAs) are student peer leaders who are assigned to individual floors in the halls, and serve as the primary support personnel for individual students on a 1:1 basis. RAs are specifically selected for their leadership potential and aptitude. They receive extensive training to give them the tools and skills to assist and advise their residents, and for creating an engaged and vibrant community on each floor.
