Developed for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who wish to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The track can be completed in four semesters of full-time study if general education requirements are met prior to beginning nursing classes. A part-time plan is also available. Advanced placement is awarded for those who pass standardized tests and meet admission requirements. This track is offered only at the Leesburg campus.
LPNs who successfully pass designated National League for Nursing standardized tests may receive up to 35 credits and advanced placement in the Nursing curriculum. The Division of Nursing also offers specialized courses in reflections on the art of nursing.

The Accelerated Second-Degree Track in Nursing at Shenandoah University prepares the student with necessary skills and knowledge for entry-level nursing position in a variety of diverse settings. This track is an innovative approach, 15 months in length and designed for the student who already holds a baccalaureate degree in another field of study. The program of study begins in the fall semester and is completed at the end of the following fall semester.
