NCAA Division III Athletics

Intercollegiate athletics is an important part of the Shenandoah University campus experience. Stroll by our trophy case and you'll see that athletics is a spirited –and winning –part of life at Shenandoah. Perhaps the best way to put it is the Hornets –supported by our community and Buzzy, our red and blue mascot - create a loud buzz on campus. It could be a on a crisp, fall afternoon watching a football game in Shentel Stadium or squeezed onto the bleachers in Shingleton Gymnasium for a "must-win" basketball game, but with 16 NCAA Division III men's and women's teams (8 for men and 8 for women) and men's and women's track and field teams at the club level, you're sure to find plenty to cheer about.
