New Lifestyles is a small co-ed, voluntary transitional residential program for emerging adults ages 18 - 26. New Lifestyles provides intensive therapeutic services, social and life skills training to individuals who are working toward independent functioning. Special Prerequisites
- The following course background is highly preferred but not required: Completion of Abnormal Psychology (PSY 310), Behavior Modification (PSY 330), Theories of Personality (PSY 312), Foundations of Counseling and Counseling Theories (PSY 411) and Clinical Helping Skills (PSY 412).
Expectations and Requirements
- 120 hours completed at site
- Twice monthly meetings with Psychology faculty contact
- 4- to 6-page reflection paper describing practicum experiences and how you were able to apply psychological principles to personal, social and organizational issues encountered during your placement
- Completion of "Supervisor and Site Assessment" form
