Occupational Therapy

Shenandoah University requires the following documents for admission into the Occupational Therapy Program.

  1. Shenandoah University graduate application and $30 application fee.
  2. Writing sample covering the following sections:
    • Show your understanding of occupational therapy
    • Explain why you want to be an occupational therapist.
    • Describe your personal characteristics and how that will make you an effective occupational therapist
    • Describe how your learning style will help you succeed in our hybid curriculum.
    • State one of your life goals and explain why the goal is important to you.
  3. Official GRE scores ( Quantitative section should be a minimum of 480) Please note: the GRE can be waived for students with an earned master's degree. 
  4. Two letters of recommendation
  5. Documentation of 24 hours of clinical observation under qualified occupational therapists in practice or evidence of being a COTA
  6. Official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended or from which credit was received
