You've done the hardest work - gaining admission to Shenandoah University. Now you need to complete all the "STEPS" in order to complete the process.
The following is a check-list for what you need to do from the time you are admitted until the day you are ready to move on campus in August.
MAY-JUNE
- Pay your tuition deposit - May 1 deadline (or within two weeks of the admission date, if you are admitted between April 20 and June 20)
- Get registered on STEPS to SU - This site contains all the information you need to become enrolled at SU
- Register for summer orientation (attend in either June or July)
- Apply for housing
- Submit immunizations, physical forms and health insurance documents to the Wellness Center
- Apply for financial aid (if you haven't) or finalize your financial aid
- Visit Campus (if you haven't)
- Keep up the good work (to maintain your status as an admitted student, you must successfully complete the coursework listed on your application)
- Make sure your final high school transcript is sent to the Office of Admissions
- Make sure AP, IB & CLEP test scores are sent to SU
- Make sure your final transfer transcripts are sent to SU if you have taken dual-enrollment classes
- Attend Summer Orientation
- Check STEPS Web site regularly to make sure your paperwork is complete
JULY
- Attend Summer Orientation (if you didn't in June)
AUGUST
- Pay your tuition bill - first week of August
- Print out your welcome week schedule (first week of August)
- Move into your residence hall (the week before classes begin)
- Attend welcome week events (the week before classes begin)
- Attend your first class (classes begin August 23, 2010)
