TESOL

TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) degree is designed to prepare graduates to teach English to speakers of other languages in any environment. Programs include the Advanced Professional Certificate, Professional Certificate and the Master's degree.  This is strictly an online distance program.  Completion of the 33-credit hour master's program results in the highest academic credential that is normally held by professionals in this field.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Shenandoah University TESOL Department is to prepare citizens of the world for useful and rewarding careers in teaching English to speakers of other languages through high-quality distance instruction.

The SU TESOL program prepares professional educators with the necessary knowledge and skills to design, implement and evaluate instructional programs in English as a foreign or second language.
