The Health Professions Building is home to the Shenandoah University's Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy
October is American Pharmacists Month, a time of recognition and appreciation for the contributions pharmacists make to health care in the United States.
To provide the community with a better understanding of the role of the pharmacist, students from Shenandoah University’s Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy will host an information session at the Apple Blossom Mall, 1850 Apple Blossom Drive, in Winchester, on Saturday, October 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The students will promote the profession of pharmacy and hand out patient education materials. Interested community members can also bring their current medications for a one-on-one information meeting with a local pharmacist.
In addition, pharmacy students will host an event for all Shenandoah University students on Wednesday, October 21, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Brandt Student Center on main campus that will provide information on a range of health-care topics and healthy lifestyle choices.
